Planting & Growing the Seeds of a Global Movement

The Global Sufficiency Network is the connecting point for the emerging sufficiency movement.

Global Sufficiency Network is an international network of citizens, thought leaders, organizations and businesses that advocate for a world based in sufficiency. “Sufficiency” is a state of mind of enough where we experience an appreciation of all that we have and all that we are. In sufficiency, we are naturally called to serve the greater good and experience ourselves as generous, courageous, grateful, and fulfilled.

The basis for our program delivery is:

  1. a website providing access to a robust network of resources, tools, services and connections;
  2. a framework for community learning of convening members, practitioners, and thought leaders online and in person; and
  3. focused collaborations with thought leaders, groups and organizations aligned with the GSN mission.

The vision of Global Sufficiency Network is a world transformed and restored by the promise of sufficiency where everyone experiences themselves, their resources and each other as enough.

Our primary focus is to fuel a global conversation for sufficiency - catalyzing action to address scarcity as a fundamental root cause of the environmental crises, the social justice crisis, the spiritual crisis and the economic crisis.

NEXT GSN Monthly Sufficiency Call

Topic: Transformational Activism: the Power of Sufficiency

By: Marilyn Levin

This call will explore how we can inadvertently come from a context of scarcity in our efforts to make a difference in the world. Looking into this can provide deep insights into the ways in which we inhibit our own effectiveness and sabotage our personal fulfillment. We will also explore what it looks like to take on our efforts from a context of sufficiency, which can enhance our ability to inspire others into their greatness, handle immense challenges with grace and sustain our sense of possibility.

In an effort to achieve our vision of a world transformed and restored by the promise of sufficiency, The Global Sufficiency Network has taken on the role of sourcing the context of sufficiency for this extraordinary new global initiative called - Four Years. Go.

You’ll hear more about what this means as this role unfolds.

For now, we want to invite you to be a part of Four Years Go www.fouryearsgo.org

The Global Sufficiency Network exists to fuel a global viral conversation for sufficiency - catalyzing action to address scarcity as a fundamental root cause of the environmental crises, the social justice crisis, the spiritual crisis and the economic crisis.

Message From Lynne Twist:

  Lynne Twist

"The Global Sufficiency Network is vitally important for today's world. I'm honored that it was inspired by The Soul of Money. But moreover, it's inspired by other people who want to live in a place of "enough" or sufficiency, not just have it as a theory but to live it, to be it, and to proliferate the conversation in a way that sufficiency shows up for people every day, all the time, as a way of life.

When we live it, there are no complaints, only gratitude. When we live it, everything begins to prosper around us. When we live it, the actual meaning of "wealth" -- the true etymological meaning "well of being" -- becomes available to everyone everywhere, all the time. And there couldn't be a greater contribution to our precious planet than that."
